Join our Garden Club and help transform the library’s outdoor spaces! Attendees will design and landscape the garden areas, add seasonal accents, and keep everything looking fresh and vibrant. Come get your hands in the dirt, share gardening tips, and make our library bloom!
Thank you for signing up to join us on Monday, March 3 at 1pm for the WACL Garden Club program. Monday, weather permitting, will be a workday outside so please dress for the weather and physical activity.
As of today, the Monday weather forecast is partly sunny and 41 as a high.
Here is the plan:
- Dig up irises around trees along the library wall.
- Dig up irises in bed by fence that we will be replacing with other plants
- General garden and container clean up
Other tasks for March/April will include:
- Planning and deciding plant choices for Spring for front entrance containers, as well as, six small pots for tables in the backyard. There is also a small container in the backyard that will need to be planned for.
- Raised beds options. The oversight of the raised beds will now fall under the responsibilities of the Garden Club. At some point we will need to create a plan for those beds and submit it to the Library Director for approval.
Please bring garden gloves, a shovel for digging up the irises, and any other supplies you might need. Since this is a brand new program, we have very few gardening tools at the moment and appreciate you bringing you own supplies.
