Native American Cultures Past & Present

Presenters Tom and Sue Taylor will give us a colorful picture of Native peoples past and present, including the diversity between different tribal groups, a woman's role in tribal life, role of the "chief," games, toys & musical instruments, and modern dance clothing of the people. They will also discuss the general area of Pittsburgh and what tribal groups were here. Will include an interactive demo of an authentic round dance of the Iroquois and a hands-on beadwork craft.
